Every year Eurosonic Noorderslag heralds an exciting new year in music. More than 3,000 music fans and industry bods descend on Groningen in The Netherlands to watch a 300-strong line-up that sets the agenda for the next 12 months.

This year, rising UK stars from Bear's Den to Sam Smith made the journey across the channel to showcase their wares.

Our friends from PRS for Music and PRS for Music Foundation are on hand to catch their performances while making the most of the extensive conference programme. They’ve been reporting back with some of their top live tips from this year’s showcase.

Below you’ll find some Eurosonic recommendations in the form of Lulu James (above), Money, Jungle, Farao, Saint Raymond, East India Youth and Bondax. Tune in now for an eclectic mix of upcoming pop, electronica, folk and indie and find out who’s going to be cutting through the background noise this year.
