Mary Leay is an exciting new urban folk artist whose powerful songs are delivered by a heartbreaking crystalline voice.

Already possessing writing and vocal credits on several films including Heartless starring Jim Sturgess, Leay’s debut album, For The Last Time is released on 26 March. The album was co-written with Emmy award-winner Mike McEvoy and recorded at Steve Winwood’s studio.

That Don’t Worry Me Now - Shawn Colvin
This track warms the soul. Such honest and beautiful lyrics.

Harm’s Swift Way - Band of Joy
Robert Plant’s voice still does something to me and the harmonies from Patty Griffin on this make it. A real sing-along track.

I’m Not Drowning - Steve Winwood

The opening track on Nine Lives - I have spent a lot of time travelling up and down motorways to this album. This is a perfect driving song!

Here’s Where the Story Ends - The Sundays
A classic. Harriet Wheeler’s voice is so pure and so youthful - I am young and free when I hear this.

St Teresa
- Joan Osborne

A truly inspirational track for me. Lyrically and vocally this song takes you on such a journey, a killer first track to an awesome album Relish.

Come Hell or Waters High - Judie Tzuke
I saw her perform last year at Union Chapel and she blew me away. This is one of those songs that makes me really wish I’d written it.

New Favourite - Alison Krauss and Union Station
This song silences me, everytime. It will take your breathe away. Beautiful.

Young Blood - The Naked and Famous

I am going crazy for this band. I find them really exciting and I like that the lyrics are really clear. Their album Passive Me, Aggressive You takes me up and all the way down again, but this song just makes me very happy!

On the Mend - Foo Fighters
Lyrically, this is one of their best ever songs in my opinion. I love the space and freedom he gives himself in this track. He’s got one of those voices that make me go weak at the knees!

Big Love - Fleetwood Mac
I am always so in awe of Lindsey Buckingham. He’s phenomenal. It’s one of those songs that just makes me so thankful for music! It’s so exciting, so emotional and so powerful.
