19-year-old Mike Hough has made a huge impact in the UK and internationally through an In an unorthodox route: recording covers of renowned songs from the comfort of his own home. East London born Mike began broadcasting the recordings on his YouTube Channel across the globe - leading to recognition from not only millions of online viewers but also major acclaim from the artists whose songs he had covered. He has now been acknowledged as one of the UK’s most prolific talents by chart topping artists and is recognised as an unstoppable force in the UK music industry.

M's friends at MOBO are always spotting and promoting new talent. Over the last year MOBO has championed the likes of Jessie J, Devlin and Tinie Tempah, all of whom are now riding high in the charts. Following this tradition, when the folks at MOBO stumbled upon Mike Hough in early 2009 they saw a young singer songwriter bursting at the seams with potential. Since then he has played a sold out headline show at the IndigO2, performed on the 2010 MOBO Tour and is now preparing to release his debut single Hero.

Mike recently dropped by the MOBO office for a chat. Come back tomorrow for two special acoustic performances.
