Mercury Prize-nominated Cumbrian quartet Wild Beasts have made a career out of sonic curveballs and musical left turns.

From their first record Limbo, Panto to 2016’s Boy King, they’ve constantly stretched both themselves and the boundaries of British indie.

Restless innovators, their art-rock idiosyncrasies have seen them embrace fey folk, thrashing guitars and outré electronics over the last decade, always with devastating results.

With a bunch of festival slots on the horizon, we caught up with lynchpin Hayden Thorpe to find out what he loves most about tour life, why he's getting inspired by Solange and what’s in store for their new sounds…
