Gareth Bonello (aka The Gentle Good) is a Welsh singer-songwriter who has mastered the art of folk fusion.

Preferring to sing in his native Welsh tongue, he explores the boundaries of Western rhythm and rhyme through eye-opening excursions around the globe.

During far flung travels to Nagaland and Chengdu (China), via support from PRS for Music Foundation and the British Council, he’s honed his songwriting and introduced new chords and melodies.

Here, he chats about his travels and his evolving folk template:

Watch him play Drinking With the Moon (Yfed Gyda’r Lleuad) at the PRS for Music HQ.
