Sawhney is well established as a British Asian songwriter who explores themes such as spirituality, politics and multiculturalism through his music, with jazz and electronic influences.

His musical CV has much to boast about including collaborations with the likes of Sting and Jeff Beck and compositions for the scores of more than 50 films.

It was at the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards that we caught up with the esteemed songwriter and composer to find out about the album recording process, who he is working with and which British artists he is currently enjoying.
