‘It really made me open my eyes… as British songwriters, we’re really doing it now’ says Ivor Novello judge Jin Jin.

The chart-topping songwriter, aka Janée Bennett, is herself an Ivor nominee and this year she attended the ceremony as a judge.

Her longest standing musical relationship has been with Jess Glynne since discovering the young singer-songwriter while teaching a masterclass at an East London college.

Jin Jin subsequently wrote some of Jess’s biggest hits including Right Here and Hold My Hand, which hit the UK number one chart spot.

Alongsdie her work with Jess, she has also written for acts like Tinie Tempah, Olly Murs, Raye, Paloma Faith and Rita Ora, to name a few.
