Brainchild is a small, volunteer-led festival centred around creativity and promoting new ideas.

The crew behind it have so far hosted three installments of the event, with this year's being the most successful yet, featuring a collection of exciting new acts and incorporating spoken word, workshops, DJs and theatre.

Indeed the festival, set in East Sussex, has been so well received it won the Golden Welly Award for Best Independent Festival at the recent AIM Awards.

We spoke to the gang at the event to get their thoughts on how a festival can stand out in today's market...
