Boxed In is the genre-bending brainchild of kinetic singer, songwriter and production whiz Oli Bayston.

Having cut his teeth in Manchester band Keith, followed by a techie spell at Dan Carey’s south London studio, his latest venture arrived last with the experimental exuberance of a safe pair of hands.

With a record collection obviously brimming with kosmiche and krautrock gems – plus a good dose of house classics – Oli’s a master of outsider electronics and motorik mayhem.

Following his stonking debut LP last year, he’s set to return in September with follow-up Melt.

We caught with Oli and the live Boxed In crew in the PRS for Music tent at Glastonbury to learn what else is on the cards…
