Rock icons Status Quo have been honoured with a PRS for Music Heritage Award.

Original band members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt attended the unveiling of a special commemorative plaque. The event took place on September 20, 2010 before an audience of Quo fans, dignitaries, special guests, media and amazed passers-by at the site of their first gig - The Welcome Inn - in Eltham, South East London. The site is now a residential development.

After the plaque unveiling ceremony, Francis Rossi spared some time to talk to M about that first gig at the Welcome Inn in 1967 and tells us how he spent his first royalty cheque from PRS for Music.
