PRS for Music Foundation announce funding deadlines

Calling all songwriters and bands - PRS for Music Foundation has unveiled its forthcoming deadlines for the Momentum Music Fund.

PRS for Music Foundation has announced the deadlines for the next round of funding for the Momentum Music Fund.

The initiative is run in partnership with Arts Council England and Deezer and offers songwriters, musicians and bands financial support to make the next step in their careers.

Grants of between £5,000 and £15,000 are expected to be awarded to between 50 and 75 artists/bands over the next two years – recent recipients of the funds include Soulsavers, These New Puritans, Floating Points and Brolin.

Forthcoming deadlines to apply for the funding are 8 April, 3 June, 12 August and 28 October.

The organisation also offers other funding opportunities alongside Momentum and has a series of deadlines in place for applications.

Open Funding for organisations, groups and individuals is aimed at the creation and performance of outstanding music regardless of genre. Deadlines for applications are 5 February, 28 April, 30 June and 29 September.

Women Make Music is another fund from the body offering grants of up to £5,000 for female music creators. The forthcoming deadlines are 28 April and 29 September.
