Eligible PRS members are being invited to have their say in the 2021 Performing Right Society Limited (PRS) Annual General Meeting (AGM), 19 May 2021.

The 2020 PRS AGM was held online, making it easier for people to attend and increasing engagement considerably. As a result and given the ongoing pandemic, the 2021 edition of PRS’ AGM is likely to be held virtually again.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, and the uncertainty surrounding face-to-face events, joining the event physically may not be possible, but final details will be confirmed soon.

The AGM will be your chance to hear directly from PRS’ Chief Executive, Andrea C. Martin, Chair, Nigel Elderton and other members of the Executive Leadership Team.

Principal Voting members will soon receive an update on how to stand for election to the Members’ Council.

The Members’ Council is currently made up of 27 directors led by a Chair and a Deputy Chair (publisher and writer respectively) who are elected by the Council from among the Council Members. The Council Chair is responsible for running the Council's meetings.

The Council is focused on making sure that PRS is in close touch with the views, concerns and needs of its members. A newly appointed President, who is elected by the Council from among the Council Members will lead the Council in its focus.

Its other focuses are on strategic oversight, reviewing company performance and holding the Board to account. It approves the corporate strategy, annual budget and accounts, and the appointment of our CEO and Board members.

PRS will make further announcements about the 2021 AGM as the date draws closer.
