PRS is a society of songwriters, composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play, perform or make available copyright music on behalf of our members and overseas societies with whom we have representation agreements. We are a not-for-profit organisation whose members have agreed to us deducting our administration expenses, as outlined in 2c of our rules and regulations.
The rates set out below reflect the running costs of providing services to our members. These rates are reviewed annually and can be adjusted in exceptional or specific circumstances. After deducting these administration expenses, all the income we receive is distributed back to members.
Rates apply to income for the calendar year, which is distributed between July and April. The rates are effective from April 2014.
A charge of £125 per country per tour (or the applicable percentage rate for that country, whichever is lower), will be introduced on overseas performance income utilising the PRS for Music Live Concert Service.
