Radio Advertising Production Music Licence
Formerly the BR3 Agreement, the Radio Advertising Production Music Licence gives radio stations unlimited access to our members’ production music.
Who this licence is for
- Radio stations that make their own radio adverts and commercials
- Radio stations that commission radio producers make adverts specifically for them
How to apply
How does the Radio Advertising Production Music Licence work?
The licence gives radio stations unlimited access to our members’ production music. In return for an annual licence fee you can:
- Use as much production music in as many radio adverts as you like
- Appoint third party producers to produce your adverts
Using production music in adverts could bring down your music usage costs. You won't need to pay us or your production company to pre-clear adverts each time you make them.

The 10 percent uplift applies to any station that wishes to share adverts across its network of stations. This uplift is paid by the stations that provide the adverts.
Any station that you share adverts with must have a Radio Advertising Production Music Licence of its own.

We issue an invoice bi-annually, in October and again in April. A renewal form will be sent to you every August to update your information and detail the new fees.
