The copyrights of these works are administered by the Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society (MCPS).

Television or radio broadcast

If you are a television or radio broadcaster and are going to be broadcasting MCPS production music on your channel, you will need a licence to do so. Our broadcast team can arrange the correct licences, covering both the making and broadcasting of programmes, so please contact them directly at:

Getting a licence

Step 1

Choose a music library


Step 2

Listen to the tracks.

Select the music or sound effect. Keep a note of the details:

  • track title
  • catalogue number or CD number
  • track number
  • songwriter/composer
  • library name


Step 3

Decide upon the licence requirements, get a quote and pay.
