This licence is available to independent production companies and producers who make programmes for Channel 4, E4, More4 and Channel 5. The licence covers all our members’ music used in these programmes, so producers don’t need to seek individual clearance for each of the songs they wish to use.

How much does it cost?
Fees for music programmes produced for Channel 4, E4, More4 or Channel 5 are calculated on a per-programme basis in the UK. The licence fee includes:
a) 17 percent of gross revenue and
b) The per-programme minimum fee as set out in the table below

How do you apply?
Download the music programme blanket licence.
Please print, sign and return two copies of the blanket licence to the IPC licensing team at the address below, or download a copy, complete it, turn it into PDF format and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Once you have signed up to the licence you need to complete and return a gross revenue declaration form and fully completed cue sheets for each programme or series of programmes within seven days of their delivery to the broadcaster.
