The PRS Foundation
Supporting music creators since 2000, we’re the UK’s leading funder of new music and talent development. We support an exceptional range of new music activity and to date invested more than £32 million in over 6,700 new music initiatives helping to create the future of music.
Who we help
Established musicians, emerging talent, songwriters, bands, composers, organisations, promoters … we’re here to support music creators from all backgrounds, wanting to take their career in all directions.
How we help
In addition to our own funding initiatives, we work with various like-minded funders and partners to offer grants for residencies, commissions, showcases, tours and festivals.

Our on-going support includes:
- Women Make Music: for women songwriters and composers from all backgrounds
- The Open Fund: for organisations and music creators.
- The Composers’ Fund: support for composers to develop their careers
- International Showcase Fund: for musicians invited to play on the global stage
- Momentum Music Fund: for artists looking to get to the next stage of their career
- Musicians in Residence in China: a partnership with the British Council
- Resonate: support the best orchestral music from the last 25 years
- New Music Biennial: Festival weekend of 20 bite-sized pieces of new music in partnership with UK City of Culture
- Keychange - a pioneering international initiative which empowers women to transform the future of music and encourages festivals to achieve a 50:50 gender balance by 2022
