Robbie and Kylie voted as Top Valentines Dates

Also revealed - Top 10 Love Making Songs

Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams, who famously sang Kids together, have been voted as the singer-songwriters we would most like to date this Valentines Day according to a recent survey conducted by PRS for Music.

The organisation which is responsible for collecting royalties on behalf of its 60,000 songwriter, composer and music publisher members, also revealed the nation’s top 10 ‘Songs to Make Love to’.

Topping the chart and taking the second spot is American soul singer Marvin Gaye with his track Sexual Healing and Let’s Get it On respectively. Released in 1982 Sexual Healing reached number four in the UK charts and has been covered by many artists over the years including Michael Bolton, Ben Harper and most recently, Ne-Yo.

Barry White’s deep bass voice and romantic image won our hearts and his place in the chart at number four and ten with You're My First, My Last, My Everything and Can't Get Enough of Your Love Babe.

At number eight are Kings of Leon with Sex on Fire. This track has been extremely successful reaching number one in Australia, Finland, Ireland and the United Kingdom, charting at the top-spot in the UK singles chart on digital downloads alone, before its physical release.

Ellis Rich, Chairman at PRS for Music, commented:  'Choosing music for your liaison requires careful thought to tempo, melody and volume, they can all play a part. Too fast can sometimes be risky, too slow can induce sleep and boredom. A great track can be distracting (which could be helpful), but too much volume could drown out those whispers of love. For myself, I found that either Fire Brigade by The Move or Benny Hill's Ernie, both played very loudly, does the trick.'
