Simplifying Licensing For Dance
Dance teachers nationwide will be pleased to learn that the Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET) and PRS for Music have convened a joint working group to address and simplify the process of music licensing for those using recorded music in the teaching of dance.
Concerns had been shared with PRS for Music that licensing for this specific field was confusing and needed to be adapted to meet the needs of today's dance teachers. The working group, comprising representatives of PRS for Music, CDET's Awarding Organisations and vocational schools is due to report by 1st February 2011.
