PRS for Music Unveils the UK’s Most Popular First Dance Songs
PRS for Music today reveals that Lonestar’s Amazed tops the list of songs that couples choose to tie the knot to.
While Amazed has not only proved to be Lonestar’s biggest hit to date, the 1999 song has proved an even bigger hit among UK couples selecting an accompanying track for that unforgettable first dance.

- Aerosmith - Don’t Want To Miss A Thing
- Shania Twain - From This Moment On
- Bryan Adams - Everything I do (I Do It For You)

The results are based on a survey conducted by PRS for Music, among 2000 wedding videographers, asking for the most requested first dance songs.
The song at the first dance tends to make weddings more memorable and extra special. It is a testament to the power and universality of music that it always accompanies the big events in our lives and gives them extra meaning.
This research was produced in conjunction with Wedding TV’s forthcoming series 'Top 50 First Dance Songs'. The series is due to air later this year and will be a countdown of the best first dance tracks ever.
