PRS for Music strengthens its commitment to member service excellence
Sally Weir appointed Chief Membership Officer
PRS for Music is pleased to announce that Sally Weir has been appointed Chief Membership Officer. Sally will join the UK’s largest collecting society which represents more than 180,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in January 2026.
Sally brings a wealth of knowledge following an extensive 20-year career in senior leadership roles across global financial and media organisations, including Bupa, Direct Line Group, First Direct and Sky – where she led large-scale customer service operations focused on acquisition and retention. At Direct Line Group, Sally was instrumental in driving culture, transformation, and delivering an enhanced customer experience.
Reporting to the CEO, Andrea Czapary Martin, Sally will be pivotal to delivering the organisation’s commitment to enable all members to maximise their membership, ensuring the diverse needs and expectations of the membership are met with a first-class experience. Sally will also oversee PRS for Music’s ambitious digital-first plans providing new online tools and services to ensure members have the best chance to succeed in their careers.
I am delighted to be joining PRS for Music in the new year. Songwriters, composers and music publishers are at the heart of this organisation – it’s important that they feel connected and heard. I look forward to working with the Members’ Council and leadership team to further PRS’s mission and enhance our service offering to members.
As we continue to make progress on our digital experience programme, which includes the member journey, it is time to sharpen our focus on our service offering. Sally is widely recognised for her ability to drive operational excellence and digital innovation through the development and leadership of high-performing teams. I look forward to welcoming her to the team.
Throughout her career, Sally has been a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion. As a UK National Contact Centre Awards Gold winner in Customer Experience Design and recipient of the Business Culture Awards for Best Culture Transformation and Best Culture Team, Sally has consistently demonstrated her ability to enhance business operations and champion more equitable and inclusive workplaces that make positive impact beyond the workplace.
