Producers and topliners unite at Amsterdam dance music songwriting camp

Songwriters and producers from across Europe united this week to take part in the annual PRS for Music and Sony/ATV Music Publishing songwriting camp in Amsterdam.

With a special focus on dance music, beatmakers and topliners came together at Studio de Keuken for the two-day lock-in. 

Taking part in the studio sessions; Zak Abel, Alika, Arrow Benjamin, Renske Te Buck, Camden Cox, Charlee, Cathy Dennis, Don Diablo, Joshua Grimmett, Karen Harding, Alex Hosking, Jonas Kroeper, Michael McEachern, Guus Mulder, Joren van der Voort and Norwegian production duo Dag Holtan-Hartwig and Halvor Folstad, Skinny Days.

Sharing a wealth of talent between them, the roster of artists attendees have previously worked with is impressive, from likes of Beyoncé and Naughty Boy, to Kesha, Diplo, Gorgon City, Kaytranada, Wookie, Wiley, Rudimental, Major Lazer, Kylie Minogue, Mark Ronson, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Wilkinson, and David Guetta, to name a few. 

Representing over 150,000 music creators in the UK and across the world, PRS for Music actively engages with its members in a variety of ways to help them further their careers and expand their creativity. 

Joining forces with Sony/ATV Music Publishing for the third consecutive year has once again been an exciting project, with an exceptionally high standard of creators attending and working together. The output, as always, has been astonishing and we hope even more collaborations come out of the sessions beyond this week.

Songwriting camps serve not only as a platform for new hits to be written but encourage new creative relationships to continue and develop into the future. PRS for Music has previously also supported and hosted songwriting camps at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios in conjunction with the Country Music Association and more recently, a Grime and Rap songwriting camp at Tileyard Studios with Notting Hill Music and at RAK Studios with Spotify.
