PRS announces record royalties for creators in 2016
PRS has today announced its financial results, reporting a record-breaking 2016 performance.
Royalties paid out to members exceeded half a billion pounds for the first time in UK music history, reaching an all-time high of £527.6m, up 11.1% (£52.5m) year-on-year.
Revenues for the year rose 10.1% year-on-year to £621.5m, while 33% more music creators received royalty payments than in 2015, more than ever before.
