Womxn of Music Business (WXMB 2) are set to hold a takeover event at Colours Hoxton on Sunday 8 March for International Womxn’s Day 2020.

WXMB 2 (Womxn of Music Business) are a platform that works to connect womxn within the music industry and support younger generations to start in music.

The full day programme will take place across four different rooms and visitors can explore the WXMBFair, where creatives will showcase their projects and businesses, including healthy food, conscious clothing, magazines, headphones, records and music.

The Orange Room is set to feature technical workshops for entry level producers, engineers and those who are passionate about live production.

Industry professionals will demonstrate setting up a backline, sound engineering and light design.

The room will also feature a DJ workshop and a music production masterclass.

Over in the Pink Room the professional hub will be a space for sharing experience and advice.

The day will begin with speed networking followed by panels covering a range of music industry-related topics.

The Green Room will focus on wellness through yoga, plants and balancing masculine and feminine energies.

The keynote address will be delivered by Dr Samantha Warren from 'In the Key of She', whose Leverhulme research focuses on gender inequality in the electronic music industry, and who will be sharing her work and insights with all the attendees.

The day will conclude with a live showcase, featuring some of the talented artists and creatives who have been featured in the weekly WXMB 2 Artist Focus series, as well as other key collaborators.

Performances and sets by various female-identifying and non-binary artists such as Syreeta, Buer, and Sweet Lemonade Sisters will be included in the programme.
