members can get their hands on discount tickets to Words + Music - a new industry showcase which lands in Perth this week. 

The two-day conference, organised by Horsecross Arts, Perth College UHI and the  Traditional Music Forum, will offer practical tips, networking opportunities, evening gigs and showcases.

It takes place in Perth Concert Hall from Friday 14 to Saturday 15 March.

The programme aims to appeal to songwriters and musicians of all genres at all stages of their careers, from students and early-career musicians to professional players and music industry workers.

It will feature panel discussions with industry experts including Admiral Fallow, Karine Polwart, Pete Wishart, Findlay Napier, Paul Fenn, Robert Hicks, Patsy Reid and Inner Ear.

Panel discussions will include fundraising, marketing, legal issues, making recordings, sales and publishing.

One day passes cost £36 (concessions priced at £16) while two days cost £61 (concessions are £21).

Concessions include PRS for Music members, MU members, students and Young Scot card holders.
