Emily Barker, Yola Carter (above) and Mumford & Sons are among the artists honoured at the third annual UK Americana Awards.

Barker was presented the UK Artist of the Year Award by Frank Turner, while Billy Bragg and Jed Hilly gave Mumford & Sons the Trailblazer Award.

Carter triumphed in the UK Song of the Year category, and fast-rising outfit The Wandering Hearts were given the Bob Harris Emerging Artist Award.

Harris was also on hand to present Robert Plant with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The winners were voted for by members of the Americana Music Association UK.

The ceremony took place at London’s Hackney Empire last night (Thursday), and was the culmination of this year’s AmericanaFest, which took place across two days in venues around East London.
