Tomorrow, 9 April, The Ivors Academy will be hosting a free webinar called ‘Music Creator Wellbeing’.

During the session, experts, charities and creators will be brought together to offer advice, share personal experiences and provide the support for one another.

The event will be hosted by Michael J McEvoy. Michael is an Ivor Novello Award nominated, award-winning composer with many film, television and pop music credits to his name, including the score to Richard Loncraine’s feature Finding Your Feet (Imelda Staunton, Timothy Spall), and the evocative jazz score to Peabody Award winning BBC/PBS documentary The Jazz Ambassadors

McEvoy will explore the challenges of being a freelance creator during times of change, providing an insight on how he has adapted his music practices in his evolving career, and share advice on building resilience, staying motivated and looking after your health.

The webinar will be taking place at 3pm and will last around 45 minutes.
