The Isle of Man Festival, due to feature performances from the likes of Primal Scream and Johnny Marr, has been cancelled.

The event, which was expected to take place at Noble’s Park on 6 July 2013, has been pulled because of poor ticket sales, organisers have said.

In a statement, the promoters said: ‘The risk in pursuing the event would put businesses on and off the island in jeopardy.

‘A great festival was planned for the Isle of Man - with global artists, international and local media partners and world reaching sponsors. Sadly, this cannot now be realised. The organisers wish to thank all those who committed their support and those people who did purchase tickets.’

The line up for the event included the likes of Primal Scream, Paloma Faith, Johnny Marr, Wretch 32 and previous M cover star Laura Mvula.

The organisers of the event stated that every effort will be made to provide full refunds to ticket holders.

Refunds will be available from the agents where tickets were first purchased such as PayPal, the Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre.

You can find out more information from the event’s social media platforms.
