Sampha has seen a surge of album sales since his Hyundai Mercury Prize win according to the latest midweek figures, rocketing 146 places to number six.

The south London singer-songwriter's debut album Process has sold 3,276 copies so far this week according to the Official Charts Company, helping it to reach its highest place yet in the chart.

It previously peaked at number seven back in February.

The Young Turks-signed artist was presented with the prestigious £25,000 prize last week (14 September) at a ceremony held at London’s Eventim Apollo.

He performed (No One Knows Me) Like the Piano on the night, which has now entered the singles chart for the first time.
