Rough Trade announces best 2013 albums

Savages, Daniel Avery and Jon Hopkins all feature in Rough Trade’s top ten albums of the year.

Savages, Daniel Avery and Jon Hopkins all feature in Rough Trade’s top ten albums of the year.

US songwriter John Grant has taken the top spot with his most recent LP, Pale Green Ghosts

Punk outfit Savages feature as runners up while previous M interviewees Daniel Avery and Jon Hopkins also feature in the list.

According to the independent retailer, albums released end of 2012 are included in our end of year chart. Albums released late 2013 will be in the 2014 chart.

Previously, Rough Trade announced it would be opening a retail outlet in New York later this month.
