This Is UK Rap Vol. 1 is a new compilation shining the spotlight on the resurgence in British hip hop.
The double album features tracks by Giggs, Skepta, Scorcher, Wretch 32, K.Koke, Bashy, Kano amongst many others.
Record Label Defenders Ent explain the timing of the release, saying: 'UK Rap is finally at its peak, with acts like Giggs winning BET awards, K Koke being signed to Roc Nation and of course Krept & Konan’s '4 million views' alongside consistence within the mixtape field; UK Rap is now stronger than ever. Hip-hop in the UK has been overshadowed by many Grime MC’s in the past years, however online views, iTunes charts and general demand have begun to dictate a change.'
