Momentum Music Fund announces latest acts

Dancehall artist Sincere and pop boy/girl duo Oh Wonder are among the latest artists to receive backing from the Momentum Music Fund.

Dancehall artist Sincere and pop boy/girl duo Oh Wonder are among the latest artists to receive backing from the Momentum Music Fund.

PRS for Music Foundation and Arts Council England have announced 13 new recipients of funding with an emphasis on urban and pop sounds.

Electronic producer Koreless and girl group IV Rox are also among the backed acts.

Sincere said: ‘I’m over to moon to have received funding from Momentum … I feel privileged to have been chosen as one of the lucky few. Now the hard work begins.’

IV Rox said: ‘It is so amazing that PRS for Music Foundation and Arts Council England help bands like us on the tough road to making it in the music business. We are so thrilled to receive a grant from Momentum Music Fund.’

Managed by the PRS for Music Foundation, the Momentum Music fund awards grants of £5,000-£15,000 using funding from Arts Council England.

The next deadline for applications to the Momentum Music fund is Tuesday 2 June 2015.
