Just in time for the height of summer and festival season, the latest print edition of M Magazine is here — you can read it in full below.

This special summer issue of M sees songwriting — its value, its evolution and what it takes to build a sustainable career from it — take centre stage. Inside, you’ll find cover star Yungblud discuss his bold new creative era with his new album Idols, the story of Charli xcx’s Brat told by two of the primary songwriters behind it, and the fascinating and often raw process that led to the creation of the emotionally charged score for the Netflix hit Adolescence.

We also explore the revival and enduring popularity of nineties and noughties pop with hit songwriters Miranda Cooper and Wayne Hector, the creative legacy of PRS for Music Icon Award winner Robbie Williams, and the defiant trans artists who are inspiring today’s fearless generation of creators.

Elsewhere, this issue celebrates the continued power of the pub as a launchpad for live performers, BBC Proms’ world-leading classical music programme, and two new PRS Members’ Council appointees in songwriter Cathy Dennis and publisher Megan Hall.
