Jessie Ware will be presented with the MusicQubed Best Newcomer Award at this year’s Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards.

The singer songwriter has enjoyed great success since the release of her debut album Devotion back in 2012.

She’s been nominated for the Mercury Music while also being shortlisted for British Breakthrough Act and British Female Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards.

Jessie said: I am so honoured to be receiving this award from Nordoff Robbins, who do such amazing work helping people with music therapy.

‘I am really looking forward to the awards. It's been such a wonderful year for me and to be getting this award is a really special one!’

Since the Silver Clef awards began 38 years ago, the event has raised £8m for the Nordoff Robbins organisation.

David Munns, chairman of the organisation, said: ‘This year, we hope to raise £500,000 from the Awards to fund 20,000 life-transforming music therapy sessions for children and adults across the UK.’

Some of the other winners at this year’s event have already been announced - the list of winners includes Barry Gibb who will be receiving the Sony Mobile Lifetime Achievement Award, Coldplay who will win the Royal Albert Hall Best British Act Award and Labrinth, who will be awarded the American Express Innovation Award.

Alison Moyet will receive the Investec Icon Award and Alison Balsom will win the PPL Classical Award.
