Entries for The Ivors 2024 have now opened.
Next year’s ceremony, which will once again celebrate songwriters and screen composers, will take place on May 23, 2024 at Grosvenor House in London.
Each winner will receive a coveted Ivor Novello Award, and entries for all seven Ivors categories are now open to British, Irish and UK-resident songwriters and screen composers.
The seven award categories are: Best Album, Best Contemporary Song, Best Song Musically and Lyrically, Best Original Film Score, Best Original Video Game Score, Best Television Soundtrack and the Rising Star Award with Amazon Music.
Best Album recognises creative consistency and exceptional songwriting, Best Contemporary Song is for originality in songwriting and Best Song Musically and Lyrically recognises exceptional song craft. The film, television and games categories each recognise outstanding original musical scores.
Now in its fifth year, the Rising Star Award discovers, supports and accelerates the careers of songwriters aged under 25. Nominees are part of Amazon Music’s global developing artist programme Breakthrough, which provides long-term, customised global plans for emerging artists during crucial moments in their careers.
Victoria Canal (pictured above), winner of the 2023 Rising Star Award, said in a statement: 'I couldn’t imagine a higher honour than receiving the Rising Star Award. It’s been amazing to receive recognition from my songwriting peers at The Ivors Academy, as well as so much support from Amazon Music to help me grow and create.'

Nominations for The Ivors 2024 will be announced on April 23, 2024 while tickets go on sale on January 23, 2024.
