The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) will be hosting a panel discussion next week to help classical composers work in the digital space.

Connecting Classical – Maximising Your Presence in the Digital World will feature composers and marketing/PR specialists and will look at how composers can best promote themselves and their work online.

Increasingly the use of websites, eCommerce, social media, playlisting and comprehensive digital strategies have become essential tools for artists to utilise in order to succeed in the industry.

This event hopes to bring classical composers together with experts in the area to provide advice and guidance on growing audiences in the digital world.

The panel discussion will be lead and moderated by composer and BASCA committee member Alexander Campkin, whose work features extensively on recordings by London Sinfonietta and the BBC Singers.

Also featuring on the panel will be Joel Garthwaite, Cevanne Horrocks-Hopayian, Sam Mackay and Sarah Nicolls.

The panel will take place on the 18 July at Seven Dials Club in London.

PRS for Music members will receive 25% off tickets to the event. Claim your discounted tickets here.
