From Me to You (FM2U), a conference for professional development within the music industry, will be expanding into Scotland this year.

Organisers have confirmed that an extra FM2U event will take place in Glasgow on top of their regular event in London, providing an opportunity for artists further away from the capital to attend the conference, which is now in it's fifth year.

Launched in 2014, the FM2U is aimed at independent musicians with the intention of developing a strong community of artists who are working professionally to ensure sustainable careers in the industry.

The conference features keynote speakers, live music performances and panel discussions geared around providing practical and realistic advice to independent artists.

Singer-songwriter, Rosie Bans, will be speaking at FM2U Glasgow to give advice on crowdfunding in music after crowdfunding her own debut album on Pledge Music, reaching 258% of her original target.

FM2U was founded by singer-songwriter and FAC board director Roxanne de Bastion, and is sponsored by PRS for Music, AIM and Help Musicians UK.

The first FM2U Glasgow will take place on September 1st, 2018 at The Old Hairdresser’s. FM2U London will take place on December 1st. Its location is yet to be announced.
