Soweto Kinch, Corinne Bailey Rae, Herbie Hancock and Gazelle Twin are among the diverse roster of artists slated for this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival.

The 2019 edition will also host singer-songwriter Iron and Wine, Mercury Prize-nominated SEED Ensemble, hip-hop collaborator Ashley Henry, The Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde and the Art Ensemble of Chicago, across a line-up of more than 2,000 performers.

The festival returns to various venues across the capital from 15 to 24 November, and includes a programme of kids’ music workshops, diversity panels and singing sessions alongside the ticketed concerts. Talent incubator Tomorrow’s Warriors will also host midnight jams, while She Is Jazz will platform some of the female talent currently making waves in the genre.

Elsewhere, London jazz hub Total Refreshment Centre will team up with legendary New York label Blue Note for a collaborative gig.

The programme was officially launched earlier this week at an event featuring performances from BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist Misha Mullov-Abbado and a collaboration between former world champion beatboxer Bellatrix and Soweto Kinch.
