Independent publisher Concord Music has entered an agreement with ICE to oversee its online licensing and administration needs.
Concord is the latest publisher to become a ‘core’ licensing customer of ICE, following similar deals with Downtown and peermusic earlier this year.
As part of the agreement, ICE will continue to provide a range of multi-territorial digital licensing and online copyright processing for Concord, covering its catalogue of over 380,000 works.
Concord’s roster of songwriters and composers includes Mark Ronson, Steve Reich, Justin Parker, Sean Lennon, Dolly Parton, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cathy Dennis, George Harrison, Daft Punk and Pete Seeger.
John Minch, Concord’s president of publishing for Europe, said: ‘We have known the ICE team from the beginning in 2012 and love this idea of a direct and simple arrangement with them.
‘It means we can be on top of and monitor all the major deals with digital service providers while getting a much quicker, cost-effective and more efficient pay through. This is a great deal for Concord writers and composers.’

ICE, a joint venture between PRS for Music, STIM and GEMA, represents over 290,000 rightsholders for the full suite of licensing and administration services for online exploitation.
