57th Ivor Novello Award nominations revealed

Adele has been recognised by the songwriting community for her stunning success with four nominations.

The singer and songwriter has been nominated alongside co-writers Paul Epworth and Dan Wilson, for Best Song Musically and Lyrically (Rolling In The Deep), the Album Award (21) and twice in the PRS for Music Most Performed Work category (Rolling In The Deep, Someone Like You).

One certainty is that this year's Album Award will be won by a woman - nominees Kate Bush, PJ Harvey and Adele highlight the incredible talent of current British female artists.

The nominations for the 57th Ivor Novello Awards were announced this morning, Tuesday 17 April at The Ivy Club in London.

The Ivor Novello Awards celebrate, honour and reward excellence in songwriting and composing. They are presented and judged by the writing community and considered amongst the most important awards for music creators.

The 57th Ivor Novello Awards will take place on Thursday 17 May 2012 at the Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel, London.

The Ivor Novello Awards celebrate, honour and reward excellence in songwriting and composing.  They are presented by BASCA in association with PRS for Music and judged by the songwriting and composing community.
