The Sound of Pop Art is this week's PRS for Music Featured Artist.

Featuring the vocals of  Tony Jenkins and the true "beatnik pop" inspired songwriting skills of Mr Chris Free, The Sound Of Pop Art's self-titled album was released last year to rave reviews:

"A Cracking Album" - Paolo Hewitt

"English to the hilt, Infectiously enthusiastic, this is classic boho pop: " UnCut Magazine - Chris Roberts

"A Minor Masterpiece" - R2 Magazine

"Sugarcoated pop songs that you wouldn’t mind hearing on the radio ... now or in the swinging sixties." - Shindig

Previously, Chris Free was asked by Paul Weller to join his Respond label where he wrote the 1983 UK summer soul hit Give It Some Emotion’ for Tracie Young and the gorgeous slice of acoustic soul Wearing Your Jumper by A Craze (featuring Mick Talbot on keyboards).

Chris also wrote and played sonic guitar in the seminal UK Lo-Fi Punk group The Users producing 2 classic 7' singles Sick Of You & Kicks In Style.  Two copies of "Sick Of You" made DJ John Peel's all-time top 100 record box.
