Indian artist and composer Supriya Nagarajan is due to release her debut album Dusk Notes in just a few weeks’ time (20 November).
Inspired by the encouragement of Jarvis Cocker, this evocative new work is a full sensory experience celebrating spirituality and dusk ragas.
Nagarajan will tomorrow (6 November) release the second single, On the Banks of the Jamuna, and we’re pleased to be able to give you a first look.
On the Banks of the Jamuna is set in the midnight Raga Madhuvanthi and captures the melancholy and longing a friend feels for Lord Krishna, the blue-skinned Indian God.
Tune in below.
