Isobel Waller-Bridge – September
Fresh from composing music for the multi award-winning, critically acclaimed TV series Fleabag, Isobel Waller-Bridge (sister of show creator Phoebe) has signed to Mercury KX and released new track, September. The beautiful, melodic piano composition leaves us wondering, how much talent can one family have?
Creeper – Cyanide
Creeper scared us a little when they went on hiatus at the end of 2018, so we were pleasantly surprised when they stomped back onto the scene in November last year. Cyanide, the third release from their upcoming album Sex, Death & The Infinite Void, proves that while Creeper’s sound may have changed, they still know how to pen a great emo lyric.
Jessie Ware – Spotlight
Spotlight is a triumphant return for Jessie Ware, who will release Glasshouse later this year, her first album since 2017. The low-key dance track showcases Jessie’s beautiful vocals and puts her back in her rightful place within the British pop scene.
Solomon Grey – Chennai
Solomon Grey are back after a successful 2019 which saw their music featured in the BBC/Showtime series Back To Life. Chennai is hugely cinematic, with a slow build to a otherworldly crescendo, it wouldn’t be out of place in a 2020 blockbuster. The track is the second release from their Music For Picture: Vol. I (Parallels) EP, hitting the metaphorical shelves on 27 March.
James Newman – My Last Breath
James Newman - John Newman’s brother and songwriter in his own right - is flying the flag for the UK in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with My Last Breath. Will this pop banger finally snag us the top spot this year?! Only time will tell.
