It's always nice to see the return of old favourites, isn't it? Like catching up with a friend you haven't seen in a while, noticing how they've moved on into pastures new while staying in touch with the parts of them you know and love. This week's Friday Fresh heralds some major comebacks, with everything from reworkings of 60s classics to a mini indie sleaze revival.
Arctic Monkeys share the second single from their upcoming seventh album The Car this week in the form of swaying ballad Body Paint, while M.I.A drops new single Beep from her next record Mata. Also on the playlist this week is Lucky One, taken from The Big Pink's third album The Love That's Ours, which is out today after the band's decade-long hiatus. Dynamic duo Let's Eat Grandma also share new music this week with Give Me A Reason, Winnie Raeder returns with I Never Danced, and Baby Queen drops slacker anthem LAZY.
Elsewhere, Shygirl shares Shlut, The Big Moon drop This Love, and Yiigaa takes a step in a new direction with Time Waster. Rounding out the week we have new tracks from Nia Archives with Baianá and L’Objectif with The Dance You Sell, while Walt Disco deliver their industrial doom take on Dusty Springfield's crooning classic You Don't Have to Say You Love Me.
