The youthful Sid Batham may be currently unsigned but it’s unlikely that this confident singer songwriter will remain so for long.
This 22 year old appeared at the start of the year armed with his debut Reputation EP. This online release has already gained him much in the way of kudos from music industry folk but it's merely the tip of an iceberg of a talent waiting to rise to the surface.
After devoting much of his teenage years perfecting his musical skills, Sid has emerged in 2013 as pretty much the finished article. The similarly talented (and youthful) producer Sigala helped him co-produce his first release as well as a debut album which has already been completed. All Lies is the centre piece of the EP and shows what this star in waiting is all about - large, ambitious pop music topped off with an equally striking and impressive voice.
He’s also lent his vocals to tracks by fast-rising Canadian producer and remixer du jour Cyril Hahn. He's due to deploy them on his forthcoming release on PMR Records. With a just revealed live show now dropping into Brighton this week for The Great Escape festival, there’s obviously a great deal more to come from Sid. Keep your ears on him.
