Pixx is 19 year-old Hannah Rodgers, a singer songwriter who employs ethereal electronics and otherworldly melodies to lace her cosmic torch songs.

Now a fully signed up member of the 4AD clan, Hannah has just released her debut EP, Fall In, to rapturous acclaim.

The intricate set echoes the dream-pop of kindred spirits Cocteau Twins, Lush and Julia Holter, while her unique vocal harmonies add her own distinctive dimensions.

With one foot firmly in the pop camp and another skirting around the edges of experimental electronica, Hannah has etched out a new direction for her folk-inspired songwriting.

We spent 30 seconds with this rising star to learn more…

I have been making music since…
I was 11.

My music is...
Apparently good for hangovers (which means it must be nice I guess)

You'll like me if you listen...
Cocteau Twins / Boards of Canada / Air.

My favourite venue is…
The park at Glastonbury (what a sunset!).

Music is important because…
It expresses what we may not express without it.

My biggest inspiration is…
Joni Mitchell.

My dream collaboration would be…
With Kate Bush.

To try me out, listen to my song…
Fall In.

If I wasn’t making music I’d be…
Sad but it'd be okay because I have cats.

In 10 years’ time I want to be...
A bit more aware of what I'm doing in 10 years’ time.

Pixx plays at Mirrors Festival, London, on 31 October.
