Calling all fans of George Ezra, Ben Howard and Michael Kiwanuka – you need to tune into the acoustic soul of south London indie balladeer Jake Isaac.
When Jake released his latest EP War Child on 28 June while at Glastonbury, it went straight into the Top 10 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart.
Prized for its soaring soul and energetic melodies, the EP signposted the songsmith as a new force in urban blues.
But he's not new to those in the know - Jake has already been spotted by MOBO Awards, receiving his first nomination in 2010, performed at Love Box and won over discerning music fans for his part in funky house duo iLL BLU’s monster track Fall Out.
He's since won plaudits from BBC Introducing and has linked up with influential live promoters Communion (founded by folk from Mumford & Sons and Bear’s Den).
This summer, Jake has been busy playing at Barn On The Farm, Summer Sound, Leopallooza, Kendal Calling and the Other Stage at Glastonbury Festival. And, with support slots for the likes of Joan As Police Woman and Ella Eyre in the bag, plus his first ever headline tour in the wings, Jake’s live chips are fast-rising...
