Who? Issy Ferris and Archie Sylvester, aka Ferris & Sylvester.

What? Upbeat, modern folk-pop.

From where? Streatham, South London.

What’s the story? The London based duo have just released their highly anticipated Made In Streatham EP, recorded in their Streatham Hill flat.

Issy and Archie met as solo musicians and began cultivating their unique sound together. Archie’s bluesy tones and Issy’s smooth folk voice combine to create a distinctive sound of their own.

The duo continue to bring folk music into the 21st century with their upbeat arrangements and thoughtful lyrics detailing their life and experiences in South London.

The singles on Made In Streatham have already gained momentum, earning the duo a spot on BBC Introducing in Devon’s Best of 2017 list and nominations at the Unsigned Music Awards 2018 for Best Songwriter and Best Folk/Country Act.

The pair were also included in Rolling Stone's Top 10 New Country Artists To Watch in 2017.

Make sure you catch them at venues across the UK from this month (dates below).

Sounds like? Their poignant lyrics and dreamy vocals place them alongside artists such as First Aid Kit and Rae Morris, but poppier. Archie’s vocals draw parallels with the likes of Nick Mulvey.

Predicted to? Issy and Archie are selling out their London shows at lightning speed, a sure sign that 2018 should continue to see a whirlwind of success.

Must hear? Better In Yellow and The Room.
