Matt Benyayer, Thomas Edwards and Carlo Anderson are Dark Sky, a trio of friends and music makers in love with electronics.

The threesome originally connected back in college in 2009, brought together a by a shared passion for having it large in London’s ever evolving club scene.

Since then Dark Sky have garnered a reputation for their killer way with a club shredder as well as go to party starters when it comes to getting behind the decks. They’ve released basement shakers for the likes of Pictures Music, Blunted Robots and Mister Saturday Night plus some top drawer remixes for The xx, Kelis, Bombay Bicycle Club – throw in a popular show with online radio station NTS and you’ll be able to understand why they’ve been ear marked by bass heads as ones to watch.

To those who only know Dark Sky’s tougher sound, debut album - imagin - released via German label MonkeyTown Records – may be something of a musical surprise. It sees them taking their sound out of the club and sipping on a dizzying array of musical styles from post rock through to trip hop and balearia. While the club styles they’re renowned are still evident (particularly on the ace Odyssey), the long player shows a new sense of musical sophistication.

Monkeytown Records is also founded by Modeselektor's Gernot and Szarzy and is the perfect platform for Dark Sky’s music…
