Dan Beaumont

Without Dan Beaumont, London’s nightlife would undoubtedly be a less colourful place. London’s nightlife would be a far duller place without the industrious behaviour of one Dan Beaumont.

This DJ/producer has his finger in numerous musical pies dotted across the capital’s east end and as a result, his night club pedigree is pretty much second to none.

After working in the Social, he was one of the founding members of clubbing institution that is Disco Bloodbath before moving on to set up his own ventures Dalston Superstore, Dance Tunnel and trendy pizza joint Voodoo Ray’s. With a huge range of DJs and club nights bubbling away under his wing, all three business have ensured that the E8 postcode remains one of London’s most vibrant musical areas.

When he’s not expanding his musical empire, Dan broadcasts his love for classic Chicago house and italo via Rhythm Connection, a radio show on NTS with long-time collaborator Nadia Ksaiba. As a club DJ he’s a regular at the likes of Paris’ Acid Ball and Macho City with the likes of fellow east London luminaries Hannah Holland and Dave Kendrick.

January sees Dan upping the ante as a producer with his latest release The Trip. It’s hi-NRG house with one foot in the past but with an eye (and an ear) pointed to the future and is indicative of his lively DJ sets. The release of this club banger follows production stints with Ben Rymer in Jam Factory and collaborations with house heroes Terry Farley and Spencer Parker and is the first record of the year for Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter’s Classic Music Company. It's a great way to start 2014 for both label and artist - watch out for more dance energy from this fast emerging musical talent...
